ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Administer internal and external job postings.
Schedule job interviews, working with Managers and applicants to ensure mutually agreeable arrangements.
Recruit candidates for employment utilizing a variety of methods (ex. develop and place ads, attend job fairs, develop relationships and network with other business professionals).
Evaluate employment candidates utilizing a variety of methods (ex. conduct interviews, check references, evaluate credentials, administer tests, initiate background checks and work closely with the Lower Sioux Background Investigator).
Assist Managers in the evaluation and selection of employment candidates, providing recommendations as appropriate.
Perform drug and alcohol collections for pre-employment candidates.
Assure that hired employees are stable, capable and responsible. Extend employment offers to selected applicants.
Communicate rejection to applicants who are not selected for employment.
Assure compliance with Jackpot Junction pre-employment policies, including equal opportunity, drugs and alcohol, Native American preference, immigration, compact and reemployment.
Provide employment reports to the Human Resources Director in a timely manner.
Work closely with other Human Resources staff members to ensure an accurate and efficient workflow.
Assist HR & Training Coordinator with Team Member Orientation and other training sessions (ex. building tours, paperwork, backup training, etc.).
Manage and track uniform inventory and distribution.
Assist with the organization, coordination and staffing of team member activities and events.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:
Business experience required, ideally in personnel.
Experience in employment strongly preferred.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ATTRIBUTES:
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Strong human relations skills.
Recruiting, interviewing, evaluation and selection skills.
Knowledge of employment laws.
Knowledge of Jackpot Junction’s organization and operations.
Knowledge of Jackpot Junction’s employment policies, procedures and regulations.
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
Ability to multitask and prioritize.
Desire to promote the Lower Sioux Indian Community and its members.
Possess a sensitivity to various cultures, including Native American cultures.
Regular attendance and punctuality.
Able and willing to work any changes in scheduled hours as business and staff levels dictate.
Serve as a credit to Jackpot Junction Casino Hotel, and encourage others to do the same.
