Everton vs Liverpool Prediction [Sun 21 June] Analysis
19:00 Kick-Off on 21st June
Liverpool may have won 27 of their 29 Premier League games this season but the pressure of closing out their first Premier League Championship seemed to be taking its toll before the break. An away defeat at Atletico Madrid in the Champions League sowed some seeds of doubt.
Liverpool then went on to lose away at Watford in the league and away at Chelsea in the FA Cup before making it four defeats in six games in all competitions by exiting the Champions League by losing to Atletico Madrid at home.
Everton also lost their last game before the break 4-0 away at Chelsea, but the Toffees remain unbeaten in five games at home since the arrival of manager Carlo Ancelotti. That run includes wins over Burnley, Brighton, and Crystal Palace, while they’ve also drawn against Newcastle and Manchester United. Those two draws in five games suggest 3/1 for another draw is a big price.
But it’s the Everton vs Liverpool head to heads in their recent Premier League matches that make the draw look outstanding value. Admittedly, Liverpool beat Everton 5-2 in the league at Anfield in December and 1-0 in the FA Cup in February, but three of the four previous Merseyside derbies were draws. That includes the last two at Goodison Park, both of which ended 0-0.
Everton vs Liverpool Keys Stats
