This week the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board announced that they’re auctioning a Class 4 license that would allow the winner to offer slot machines at their premises.
The auction will be held on September 2nd, and would allow the winner to offer between 300 and 750 machines at their location. The winner will have a 15 mile radius in which they can operate, but must be located 40 linear miles from an existing Category 1, 2, 3, or 4 license holder.
Gambling is big business in Pennsylvania, as both land casinos and online casinos operate. Many properties have resorts attached to them, and if a company is willing to invest, a Class 4 license could mean big money.
We’ll be following the auction and will let readers know exactly who wins.
